Paddle Boarding on Big La Laguna Beach!

Big La Laguna Beach is the perfect place to enjoy some paddle boarding in Puerto Galera!

The bay is well protected from ocean currents, so the calm waters provide ideal paddle boarding conditions. Enjoy a unique perspective of Big La Laguna Beach, and the crystal clear waters will give you a great view of the coral reefs and tropical sea creatures beneath you.

Frolicking with a Lionfish – Video

Thanks to Scandi Divers Resort manager and dive instructor Terry O’Dowd for this great footage of one of our divers filming this very beautiful, and very relaxed Lionfish.

Puerto Galera is blessed with an abundance of Lionfish and you can expect to see these gorgeous creatures at most of the dive sites. The cargo hold of The Alma Jane wreck is home to many Lionfish. Quite amazing!

Greenfins Annual Seminar

Scandi Divers Resort dive team recently attended the annual Greenfins Seminar, to show their support for Greenfins marine conservation efforts. Puerto Galera has some of the most beautiful reefs in the country and it is vital that resorts, residents and tourists alike make the effort to respect and preserve them, and the incredible marine life that flourishes in these reefs.

Green Fins, internationally coordinated by Reef-World, are the only recognised environmental set of standards with a comprehensive management approach to provide guidance and support for business owners and national authorities to promote best practices.
